1) Where do you practice?
At this time, I am only seeing clients virtually through a secure HIPPA-compliant audio-video platform
2) What are your hours?
At this time, Dr. Nidhi Trivedi’s working hours are from M-F from 8am to 4pm. Exceptions are made based on special circumstances.
3) How Long does Therapy last?
At the end of the intake session, the treatment goals are usually discussed and a plan for therapy is usually decided. Clients are encouraged to be in therapy for 6-8 weeks to see if this is a good therapeutic fit.
4) What is the No Surprises Act?
The No Surprise Act went into effect on January 1, 2022. Under this law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have health insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes the cost of a single visit as well as an estimate for the average length of recurring treatment.
• If you are not using insurance, you will be provided a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first appointment. You can request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.

5) Where are you Licensed to Practice?
Dr. Trivedi is licensed in the state of Illinois and is also able to provide telehealth services to those in states that have enacted PsyPact legislation. Currently these states include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Colombia, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin.
6) What is the confidentiality policy? Is therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy services are confidential, and information can only be released with your written permission. However, there are some exceptions in which it is legally required to share information. These include if you pose a danger to yourself or others, if there is suspected child or elder abuse or neglect, and in response to a court order.

At this time, Dr. Nidhi Trivedi is only providing individual psychotherapy to clients.
While I do not provide Couples therapy and Family Therapy, I will occasionally accept clients who are unable to find a provider fluent in Gujarati and Hindi. I will be more than happy to find referrals for other clients interested in seeking couples therapy.
